Special Provision for Covid-19 Related Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your trip due to Covid-19, you can use your trip credits or deposit until December 31, 2025. This option is available exclusively for trips affected by Covid-19 restrictions. For assistance in managing your credits or to reschedule, please contact us via email.

Booking Details

For Nepal Trips:

  • You can make bookings directly on our website or via third-party platforms.
  • All prices are quoted in USD. If paying in a different currency, the exchange rate of Nepal’s Central Bank on the day of payment will apply.
  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.
  • The remaining balance must be settled either during your pre-trip meeting in Nepal or before arrival via credit card or bank transfer.

For Bhutan and Tibet Trips:

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.
  • The balance must be paid in USD by credit card or bank transfer at least 20 days prior to departure.

Last-Minute Bookings:

  • Nepal trips: Available up to 10 days before departure with full payment required at booking.
  • Bhutan and Tibet trips: Available up to 20 days before departure with full payment required at booking.

Payment Options

We offer several payment methods:

  • WeTravel: Secure online platform accepting multiple currencies. Processing fees apply (up to 4% for American Express).
  • Direct Transfer: Bank details provided upon request; transaction fees are the client’s responsibility.
  • Credit Card: VISA, Mastercard, and American Express accepted with a 4% processing fee.
  • Cash: Accepted in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD. Only new, clean bills in specified denominations are accepted. USD bills must be from 2009 or newer.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

For Nepal Trips:

  • Cancel with 20 or more days’ notice: 30% of the total trip cost is deducted, the remainder is refunded.
  • Cancel with less than 20 days’ notice: No refund will be issued.

For Bhutan and Tibet Trips:

  • Cancel with 30 or more days’ notice: 50% of the total trip cost is deducted, the remainder is refunded.
  • Cancel with less than 30 days’ notice: No refund will be issued.

Rescheduling Policy

For Nepal Trips:

  • A fee of $200 per person applies for rescheduling or transferring your trip. Finding a replacement is the client’s responsibility.

For Bhutan and Tibet Trips:

  • A fee of $500 per person applies for rescheduling or transferring your trip. Finding a replacement is the client’s responsibility.

Incomplete Trip

We are not liable for refunds for unused services if you do not complete the trip or leave early due to personal actions or legal issues.

Passport and Visas

For Nepal:

  • You need a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned return. Visas can be obtained on arrival or from a Nepalese consulate.

For Bhutan and Tibet:

  • You need a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. We will handle the necessary permits and visas for you.

Unforeseen Circumstances

We cannot be held responsible for itinerary changes due to unforeseen events such as weather, political instability, or natural disasters. Clients are advised to have travel insurance to cover additional expenses.

Risk and Responsibilities

Participation involves inherent risks including injury, illness, or property damage. By booking, you accept these risks and agree that Mountmandu, its employees, and agents are not liable for any resulting harm.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory. It should cover medical expenses, trip cancellations, and other travel-related risks. Mountmandu is not responsible for costs not covered by your insurance.

Domestic Flight Delays and Cancellations

Weather-related flight delays are common. We recommend allowing extra days in your itinerary. If a chartered helicopter is required due to delays, the cost will be your responsibility.

Pricing Adjustments

If your trip needs to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer an alternative trip of equal value or allow rescheduling. You will be responsible for any additional costs or differences in price.

Accommodation

Most trips are based on double occupancy. If traveling solo, a single room supplement may apply.

Privacy and Publicity

We protect your personal information and do not share it without your consent. By participating in the trip, you grant us permission to use any photos or videos taken for promotional purposes.

Complaints

If you have any issues during your trip, please inform us immediatelyWe strive to address and resolve any concerns promptly.

Acceptance of Terms

These terms apply to direct bookings. Bookings through third parties are subject to their terms as well.

Behavior Policy

We reserve the right to terminate your participation if your behavior is deemed unacceptable. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.

Applicable Law

These terms are regulated by Nepalese law. Any disputes will be resolved in the Kathmandu District Court, Patan High Court, or the Supreme Court of Nepal.
